The
processing of large volumes of inbound FAX documents can be
a manually intensive process. Information that is represented
in a FAX as a bitmap of pixels often must be manually re-keyed
into a tracking or handling system.
By combining SyntelliRead software with Optical Character
Recognition (OCR) technology, FAX images can be converted
to text and then interpreted, classified, and converted to
structured data in the same way as any other type of electronic
text message.
