SyntelliRead
Location Extractor extracts city, province, and country
information from free-formatted address fields and creates
normalized names for use in relational databases.

Features

Power
In addition to using powerful, noise-tolerant parsing
technology, the software employs sophisticated reasoning
strategies to resolve inconsistent, ambiguous, or incomplete
address specifications. For example, the software can
determine when "Lebanon" is a reference to a
country versus a town in the United States. It can also
infer the country in addresses where the name of the country
isn't provided.

Flexibility
The software can be configured to process any number of
address fields, in any value-delimited data format. The
data format is specified at runtime via an easy-to-understand
configuration file that can be maintained with any text
editor.

Ease of Installation

The
software is delivered with an installation script and
supporting documentation to guide you through the installation
and configuration process, which usually takes less than
one hour to complete.

Ease
of Integration

The
software can be executed from the command line or invoked
from a batch file or shell script. Thus, the location
extraction process can easily be incorporated as a step
of a larger business process.

Ease
of Maintenance

The
reference data used by the software is provided in the
form of text files. Add to, change, or delete the data
in the files using any text editor.
